Hiroshima's peace tourism campaign attracts major international attention

Back in 2016, the historic visit to Hiroshima by the then U.S. President, Mr. Barack Obama in May had generated a huge wave of international interest in the city, which was 72 years back was completely devastated by the atomic bombing massacre.
Seeking to take advantage of on the improved spotlight, the city has launched a “peace tourism” campaign to draw the attention to this historic site related to the nuclear devastation other than the symbolic Atomic Bomb Dome.
