True Blue Bay Boutique Resort gives Grenada its first set of self-sustaining rooms

Grenada's first set of self-sustaining rooms have opened at the True Blue Bay Boutique Resort. The 22 Cocoa Pod rooms have self-sustaining source for water and electricity. These rooms are furnished using sustainable materials.
Solar panels are used to heat the water and to generate electricity. There is rainwater harvest system on the roof which includes storage and treatment of the water. This water is piped into the rooms and two new freshwater swimming pools. The insulation is used to keep the rooms cool. The air-conditioners are highly energy efficient.
The interiors are made environmentally friendly. Sustainable materials, including ethical wood, have been used for the furniture and furnishings.
There are 18 True Blue Style rooms and four two storey suites with at least three rooms being wheelchair accessible. The rooms have balconies or verandas overlooking the tropical gardens or the bay as well as the two new plunge pools.
