British Airways Opens Centenary Archive Collection To Celebrate ITS 100-Year History

To mark British Airways' centenary this year, the airline has opened its archive collection to the public for the first time to share never-before-seen memories of key moments from its 100-year history.
The British Airways Centenary Archive Collection explores moments from the very first international flight with its predecessor airline, Aircraft Transport and Travel Limited on August 25, 1919 carrying a journalist, Devonshire cream, leather and several brace of grouse, to the latest images of its brand-new Club Suite.

Her Majesty The Queen today visited British Airways' headquarters at Waterside, Heathrow as part of the airline's centenary celebrations.
While at Waterside Her Majesty The Queen was introduced to colleagues in heritage uniforms from across the airline's history and she visited British Airways' museum, The Speedbird Centre, where she was shown artefacts and memorabilia relating to her many historic journeys with the airline throughout her reign.
