Hong Kong will extend social distancing measures for a further two weeks until after the Chinese New Year holiday and will impose stricter testing rules when cases of COVID-19 are detected. The measures, which include a ban on more than two people gathering and dining in restaurants after 6 p.m. local time, will remain in place until Feb. 17. “More time is going to be needed before we see a substantial improvement,” Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung told a news briefing on Monday. Canada announces new COVID-19 travel restrictions

The Canadian government has decided to impose new COVID-19 restrictions for incoming travellers. The announcement of the latest rules was recently made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after several weeks of pressure from several Canadian provinces to implement tougher travel restrictions. According to the new rules, international flights can only land in Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto, starting next week.
